If you drive only few hours from Milan, direction east, you bump in too a small and undiscovered country called Slovenia. Driving up this super nice highway in the middle of green woods, you reach the lovely Slovenian capital city.
Ljubjliana is small, cute and cozy. I stayed at Celica Hostel (http://www.hostelcelica.com/), built up from a former prison in Metelkova district, an ex military garrison squatted around ‘92. Metelkova is the perfect place for a cheap beer, an home-made jagermaister and a step on the dancefloor.
We had great brekfasts at Le Petit Cafè (http://www.lepetit.si/domov.html), sitting in the sun in front of a plates of eggs and toast to energize our mornings.
For dinner, I can suggest Julia (http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g274873-d697387-r125836724-Julija-Ljubljana_Upper_Carniola_Region.html), where we have been able to have a taste of the tipical Slovenian food for an affordable price.
